STAND UP PADDLEBOARD

FRIDAY-SUNDAY - THE ELKS LAKE, MOUNTAIN VILLAGE

We are thrilled to be offering SUP Yoga in the Mountain Village for all pass holders for just $30. First, enjoy a fun shuttle to Elk's Lake, then enjoy the views and serenity at Elk's Lake. Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) yoga is the natural extension of the timeless practice of yoga fused with an exciting water sport. The added challenge of practicing while floating forces us to confront elements of our practice that most of us take for granted.

Supported and guided by a silky hammock you, it will assist you and your postures. You will feel light and free and will float into the best savasana you’ve ever dreamed of. Created by Carmen Curtis, a professional Cirque artist, and yogi. Elevate your practice, alleviate pain, and exhilarate your soul. Purchase a $30 outdoor or experiential class to participate.

THURSDAY - GALLOPING GOOSE MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL

The “Goose” features 17-miles of flowing, single-track riding. The trail is almost all downhill and always amid spectacular mountain vistas. The ride begins at the 10,222’ summit of Lizard Head Pass and follows the historic path of the Galloping Goose railway. The route circles two beautiful lakes before descending into the Ilium Valley where you will traverse beneath the scenic 500’ tall cliffs of the Ames Wall. Numerous artifacts of the area’s historic mining days line the route. The spectacular ride culminates along the South Fork of the San Miguel River, where we’ll have refreshments before heading back to Telluride.

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced rider, the scenery and potential of this trail are hard to beat. Galloping Goose is suitable for all levels of bikers.
