Camping

The Telluride area offers up a variety of amazing locations for your chance to enjoy camping in the heart of the San Juan Mountains. From backpacking destinations to walk-in and drive-in campgrounds, we have something for everyone.

Telluride Town Park Campground

(Highly recommended if you can get a spot!)  Located between the San Miguel River and Bear Creek on the east end of town, these beautiful campsites are within easy walking distance from downtown Telluride.  Town Park is the only place that RVs are allowed for overnight camping within the town limits (and only during the summer).  Showers, bathrooms, tennis courts, a pool and parking are located on the grounds.  Go east through downtown Telluride on Colorado Avenue (Main Street) until you cross Willow Street and see the Town Park sign on the right.  Enter the park by crossing the bridge and following the access road until you see the campgrounds check-in building on the right.  No reservations.

Go to the Town of Telluride Camping site for more information about camping in Telluride.
